Preparing for baby What is the difference?? Preparing for baby Maxi cosi Pebble compatible prams. Preparing for baby Maxi cosi pebble plus isize or cybex cloudQ plus baby car seats. Pebble is future proofed for new regulations but they aren't out till so irrelevant to us haha I think that basically the pebble is just the newer model and is replacing the cabrio fix!
In answer to Jod76kro. There is a new seat called the Pebble Plus, this is the I-Size one. There is still also the Pebble, so there are now two different Pebble seats. Just to confuse people further! Pebble Plus. As above, it's the pebble plus that is I size. It comes with a slightly better newborn insert than the pebble and cabriofix and has better side protection. But is heavier. If you buy the pebble plus with the 2 way fix base then get the pearl at about a year then they all go together to keep baby facing rear for longer.
On the iso-fix bases. You are right- the family fix reclines further and can be used for the Group 1 seat as well. It is slightly more expensive but not that much so I think well worth it as: 1 You can use Group 0 for a bit longer as the recline means you can shift baby away from back of seat, 2 When they sit in the Group 1 they are still very secure and using the recline they can sleep better vs falling forward into the seat.
We have the Familyfix base and used the Pebble seat with DS till he was 19 months so well worth the money. We went for the Pebble as it is airline approved Also staff in John Lewis told my friend the pebble had been tested at 70mph but the Cabriofix tested at a lower speed Join now to personalise. February Birth Club BabyCentre may earn a commission from shopping links. Original poster's comments 2. I've gone for the cabriofix - purely because it was marginally cheaper than the pebble!
Both Car Seats include a head hugger and a support pillow for a newborn removable on both the Pebble or the CabrioFix for when your little one has grown.
Both car seats also come with an integrated sun canopy, belt pads and a head support. The CabrioFix comes with an ergonomic carrying handle, keeping it extra comfortable and clean to hold.
The Pebble is ever so slightly thinner meaning it is airline approved. The Pebble also weighs 4. The height adjustment on the car seats is slightly different. The harness on the Pebble is adjusted from the back of the seat hidden compartment — can be used for storing a phone or purse if need be and is a simple gliding procedure which moves both the straps and head hugger to a different height at the same time.
